I love this! I made the choice to always support the local book retailer as long as they have what I want to read. You have to sacrifice paying a higher price for supporting your local people- one that I’m lucky I can make. There’s no better feeling than going into an independent book store and seeing the reads they’ve curated. My favorite is the employee recommendations! I love Strand in NYC for this reason- they have the best citations and you can also find them online.
